the spectacles

The Spectacles are a trio singing a cappella Americana & miscellanea, based in the greater Seattle area. The group was formed in 2017 by three friends who wanted to sing some songs in English. They had sung together (and still sing together!) in Dunava, a Balkan women’s choir, and knew their voices blended pretty well. So after memorizing thousands of lines of music in non-mother-tongue languages, they thought they’d relax and learn some music that didn’t require translation. And it turns out that this suits them.
